CrossRoad is Now Online!
We have made the difficult decision to not gather in-person for the CrossRoad 2020 program due to the outbreak of coronavirus across the country, specifically in Boston and Chicago. Yet out of this challenge comes opportunity: our team is now gearing up to offer an amazing, first-ever, CrossRoad Online Summer Institute!
During this 10-day program, you will ask challenging questions, participate in lectures with the country’s leading Orthodox professors, explore your vocation, meet other awesome Orthodox youth from around the country, and more. CR online will be an extraordinary opportunity for you to challenge yourself with life’s big questions, right from home!
Applicants can choose from two online ten-day sessions:
- Session 1 Online: June 13-June 23
- Session 2 Online: June 30-July 10 (no programming on the 4th of July)
The online program schedule will include connections with your online cohort for 4-5 hours each day, broken into short segments, between 1:00 PM and 10:00 PM Eastern (full schedule will be available by June 1). The program will include interactive sessions, small group discussions, dynamic lectures, time for personal reflection, and opportunities to build connections with your peers from across the country.
Additionally, once the coast is clear to travel, we will also offer an in-person retreat just for your CrossRoad Online cohort so that you can connect with your group in person. We will announce a date when the situation allows.

Who is Eligible?
CrossRoad is designed to best meet the needs of Orthodox teens in their junior or senior year of high school who desire to deepen their faith in an Orthodox setting. For this reason, applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 18 years old, and should not have graduated high school prior to April of the year they apply. For CrossRoad 2020, we will accept students in the high school class of 2020 or 2021 (juniors and seniors).
We are actively seeking a 50/50 male/female ratio, as well as students from as many Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Christian backgrounds as possible. Preference will be given to Orthodox Christian youth who reside in North America.
For questions on eligibility or for more information contact us.
Is there a tuition charge?
Yes, for summer 2020 there is a tuition charge for the CrossRoad ONLINE Summer Institute of $300 for the ten-day session.
Home churches of participants are encouraged to help with tuition and to have their student present or write on their experience after attending.
What if I can’t afford tuition?
It is our CrossRoad policy that no accepted participant requesting tuition assistance will be turned away. With that in mind, we have full/partial scholarships available once a student is accepted to the program. The financial aid application process is “needs blind,” meaning the acceptance process is independent of student financial need.
How do I apply for Financial Aid?
Students will be able to apply for financial aid only after they have been accepted to the program. Accepted applicants will receive a packet of information on how to apply for financial aid/scholarships with their acceptance letter.
