CR 2019 Session One: Day 3

After Orthros, the participants engaged in two interactive staff-led sessions on the topics of “Sanctification of Creation” and “Orthodox Anthropology.” In the afternoon, the CrossRoaders departed for a visit to St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church where they learned about the Coptic Orthodoxy tradition. That evening, we sat down with Dr. Elizabeth Prodromou, (a professor of International Relations at Tufts University and religious freedom and human rights activist) who offered an engaging session on the topic of “Orthodoxy in the Public Square.”

Monday evening marked the completion of stage 1 of CrossRoad. All of the participants were invited to share their reflections on this stage. It is amazing to hear how much they have learned in just a couple days!

They are all really engaging with the content as well as growing closer as a group. The laughter in the cafeteria and on the bus is such a joyful sound to hear! Please continue to keep us all in your prayers.
